About

Hi, I'm Alexander Soto! I am a Tech Lead & Senior Software Engineer, but beyond lines of code and system architecture, I consider myself a lifelong learner. I truly believe that the best version of ourselves emerges when we decide to step outside of our comfort zone.

My work philosophy is built on constant evolution. I thrive on leaving the familiar behind and embracing new challenges with enthusiasm—whether that means adapting to entirely new industry sectors or leading projects in a language that isn't my native one. Ultimately, it's those exact challenges that bring the most valuable lessons and shape who we are as professionals.

That same drive for learning and exploration is what leads me, when the screen goes black, to seek balance in the physical world. For instance, what started as a simple interest led me to plant 10 trees over the last year—a rewarding way to slow down and stay connected with nature. Outside of tech, I'm naturally drawn to anything that offers a fresh perspective—whether that's traveling, photography, reading books, or enjoying a great science fiction story.

What You'll Find in This Blog

This space is my personal logbook to connect these worlds. Here, I share honest reflections from one professional to another on:

  • Engineering & Software: Architecture, development, and the real-world lessons I gather while leading technical teams.
  • Productivity: Methods and habits to optimize the daily grind without losing your balance.
  • Daily Life: The human side of tech, professional growth, and the everyday lessons of stepping out of your comfort zone.

If you enjoy technology but also appreciate that there is always a new challenge to tackle, a new perspective to photograph, or something meaningful to nurture—welcome! Stay a while, read some posts, and feel free to reach out to connect.
